Mocking Reflection

Cannot keep, moving forward
Prevented from, going onward

Now I’m crushed, underneath
So heavy, I cannot breathe

These people, just don’t care
About the wealth, I have to share

Don’t want it, all for myself
They don’t feel, how I felt

I hold it up, for all to see
Now they only, laugh at me

Shake their dust, from my clothes
Reaped the rocks, no seeds to sow

Is it their fault, is it their greed
Thought it was them, but it is just me

Secret is, there is no secret
I slept in my bed, and now I must make it

Mocking birds, avoid detection
Mocking me, mocking reflection

Reaped the rocks, no seeds to sow…secret is there is no secret – excellent. There is a lot of responsibility in living, it’s a matter of living up to it.

  8. Ok! So now that the Thursday Rally is over for last week, I will reveal the true secret to “Mocking Reflections”.

Inside of this poem is not ONE, but actually THREE poems!

If you draw a line, and put all the words on the left of the commas on one side, and all of the words on the right side on the other, they form individual poems going vertically downwards. And, these were crafted to be “Mocking Reflections” of each other, which is the true meaning of the title…. ;)
