Get Lost
I know that my blog layout is a bit different than the conventional blog. There is a specific reason for that though.
Many blogs and websites exist out there, but how many of you have gotten lost while trying to navigate it? I couldn’t tell you how many times I was reading a great article, followed the links, and could not find my way back to the original post. Don’t even get me started on archive searching, seems like a big waste of time if you do not know what is there to begin with.
No matter where you go on my blog site, ALL of the main pages are tabbed at the top. Each tab is conveniently a unique post category in and of itself. Instead of archiving my posts, I have listed them, by date, on each main Tab. It is almost impossible to get lost on my site.
The downside is that it takes a bit more work for me to post, tie up the links, add it to the main page, and date it… but I am about quality, not simply getting my words out as fast as possible.
My only true blog-style page is the Blog Blog Blah tab, and we are here now. Scroll down to see older post content, general topics, and updates. This is the only part of my site that is traditional, but it still has a purpose and function.
I hope you like the layout, let me know what you think.
