I have been into photography since 1996 when I was in the US Navy. Talk about an expensive hobby, at that time there were tons of film and developing costs and various lenses. Lenses are still being used in the higher end cameras, but with digital they are not REALLY necessary. They are only a way to sell more products to generate more income.
Portraits have never been my strong suit, general scenery I am mediocre at best, but all things MACRO and MICRO are were I really shine. Abstract macro is an even better skill of mine, something that could be marketable for me.
In fact, if you like any of my work, and are in need of macro-close up shots like jewelry, hands, flowers, parts, catalog shots, candy, or other types of food, let me know and maybe we can work out a freelancers deal.

Very pretty photographs!
I really like being in close connection with nature, and when I am still with all elements of life, I sometimes find the time to take a capture of the beauty of it’s existence. I always get my camera right up to the subject, no matter what as I prefer to take a picture as it is without needing to zoom in on it, and am much closer to it too!
I was hanging around a high street today astounded by the trees all flowing in their beauty and spotted some snails on some leafs over a fence. I got as far as over the fence and as close as I could go to capture the snails, without any zoom and I really enjoyed just being with them there and then. I was so happy, just in brilliance of where I was and also for those that passed by. You could imagine me practically bending over a fence in the middle of the street, couldn’t you! lol
Thank you for sharing.
Hope you are well.
That is exactly how I feel when taking pictures. Seems we have some common ground here.
