Have you ever heard the phrase “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket”? Well, this blog is my basket, and I am planning on putting everything into it. That means all my topics of interest will be accessible here instead of having to spread it out over several blog sites. I don’t really give a flying fart about what all the “professional bloggers” say I should and should not do. They tell me that a website or blog should be dedicated to one topic instead of many, I don’t agree. Hidden inside are many of my most personal and secret ideas, interests, and experiences I wish to share with you, and hopefully how they can help people. If I can help others get past the issues that I have already solved, then this entire effort will be worth it. I want this to be about me, but about you… do you understand? So what do you say about us going down this road together, and perhaps throw a few eggs along the way?
I know the layout is funny, but the tabs at the top serve a purpose, to separate my topics. Only one part of this website is technically a blog, I titled it Blog Blog Blah. This area is where updates will be posted, along with new content announcements, and generalized topics that do not fit any of my tabbed categories. This should save you search time if you visit often, just check that blog first. My tabs can be intimidating at first, but if you read my Get Lost post, you may understand how and why I made my blog this way. It will also enlighten you as to navigate my website more easy.
The Secret Game, Hidden in the Basket.
After having this blog up for some time I realized that Secret Basket of Eggs needed some spice. So what I have done to excite things around here is to create a game, hidden throughout this blog. You will notice that there are many links highlighted in blue or green. Well, some of those are duds (losers), some are pictures, some connect to other websites or blogs, some are advertisements, and some are REWARDS (winners). My secret rewards can be anything from a dedicated story about you with photos, or publishing something you wrote, free gifts, or the ultimate link to my hidden page. On that page there will be some instructions, clues, and my personal email. If you are successful in following the instructions and send me an email with the password that is unique, you could WIN real money sent to you as a personal check from me. How much money can you win? It will vary from week to week, but can range from $5 all the way up to $100. There is NO limit as to how many times you can win, but be warned, the links will frequently change. All parts of EVERY page are potential WIN links, and one you visited yesterday that was a LOSE, may become a WIN latter on. Also, immediately after someone wins, that link becomes dead until I reset it to another spot. So a person can win twice, but not from the same link. First person that succeeds will be the Winner, and if someone immediately after the winner happens to hit the link before I reset it, it will NOT count. Fair is fair, and I only have some much money LOL. So good luck, good link, and happy searching.

Bryan keep up the strong will to run your blog as you see fit. It is your own domain and you have the last say! I too don’t care what the “professional” bloggers say and from that comes great creativity and self expression. Great name for the concept you have I was afraid at first it was something to do solely with Easter and bunnies that lay colorful eggs but I was quite happy to come across your collection of thoughts on so many different aspects of your life. Definitely a repeat visit site! Again keep up the writing errr blogging!

I was a little afraid that people would think as you did. That is the reason why I added “secret” to the front, trying to avoid that issue.
What I am interested in is your own blog/adventure. I havn’t been on a road trip in a few years, you guys turned it into a journey where the whole nation/world can come with you. Pretty cool for sure!
For my readers that do not know, theDouglasDuo is comprised of Jen and Colby(Douglas), making their way around the U.S. They have set up a blog to not only document their journey, but allow US to post poll votes to determine what they will do. Upon opening their site, a map is displayed right on top, showing their planned route. I am excited to follow these two, along with a whole nation… join the fun here at : theDouglasDuo
If I might make a suggestion? Is it possible to create a page with links to all of your most recent blogs, so it is updated in chronological order as you post new ones? I think the navigation you have in place with many tabs is fine but it’s hard to keep track of what’s new without checking 20 tabs every time you visit. I’m short on time and would appreciate a short cut.

Actually, my “Blog Blog Blah” tab is just for that very thing. All new posts, updates, and even general topics that don’t fit well in my categories are announced here. If you, or anyone else for that matter comes back for a visit, that would be the best place to go, and I date the posts also.
Great advice Axiom. If any of my readers are into deep philosophical discussions and intense theories, visit AxiomWolf and his blog. His posts are extremely insightful and obviously well thought out. We do not agree on every single topic, but that is part of the fun is it not? On my days off, I definitely pay him a visit.

I quite like the way your blog is laid out, as the title suggests, it’s a basket of eggs, secret eggs and I think that coincides well with how you have envisioned this idea. Well done!
Expressive World
I really like this idea of putting many blogs into one. It’s what I was going to do at first, but after reading tons of articles on how this was a bad idea, I gave up and just decided to pick one topic to blog about.
Is your goal with this blog to monetize it? Or to just get your word out there and help people? If monetization is your goal you should occasionally post on your progress, I’d be very interested in seeing if a blog like this can make money like a niche blog.

It is lightly monetized although I do not generate enough traffic yet to make any difference. None of them are placed ideally yet either, hopefully when my traffic is a few hundred per day.

Yessss!!! I FAR prefer one blog for people. I think multiple blogs dilute a blogger, unless say — one is very specifically say, a blog for camera reviews, and one for household green products, etc.
But a personal blog from and interesting individual? UR doin’ it rite in my opinion Bryan!
